Rosebank Public School respectfully acknowledges the Elders past, present and emerging of the Wijabul Wiyabul people and other peoples of the Bundjalung Nation. They are the first peoples of this land, which has long been a place of learning for Aboriginal people.
Today as part of National Sorry Day, Rosebank PS students learned about the history and continued effect of the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from their families, communities, and cultures. The discussion was truly meaningful and the engagement and interest of the students in learning about the Stolen Generation is evident in their acrostic poems.
