Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,
As the principal of Rosebank Public School since 2019, I am thrilled to lead such a diverse and dynamic school community. I am incredibly proud of the way we value and celebrate achievement, effort, diversity and inclusion.
One of our strengths is our commitment to communication with families. We believe that strong partnerships between home and school are critical to the success of our students. We do this through our 3-way conferencing, School Newsletters, Our closed Facebook, school functions and P&C meetings. We also use student voice, data and evidence to drive improvement across the school.
Supportive programs ensure that every student has access to the support they need to succeed, thrive and grow. We have strong R.I.S.E (Respect, Integrity, Safety, Service and Excellence) expectations which are evident through the support of our Rosebank community and by the regular positive feedback we receive from students, parents, community members and staff.
Our Junior and Senior classrooms, focus on explicit teaching of Literacy, Numeracy, phonics, decodable readers, learning sprints, differentiated mathematics, wellbeing and a strong foundation in Science and Technology, History and Geography, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education. Our school is known in the area for our Creative Arts programs particularly Music, our annual school musicals featuring each child and our Little Big Scrub Bush School program. We aim to provide our students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for life and the challenges of the future.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. We look forward to working with you to ensure the best possible outcomes for your child.
Sincerely,
Juanita Thomson
